BIO:

Brenda Ambrosino delights in the creation of altered images. Whether she’s working on canvas or board, on single images or books, she strives to bring a sense of mystery and psychological complexity to her work. She has a great love for ephemera of all eras, and seeks out unusual objects and surfaces to incorporate into her work. The tactile complexity of layered images intrigues her, leading to the creation of images she describes as “the different sides of my soul on display.” Early experimentation with art rubber stamps and collage led to her interest in the emerging art and craft of altered books. Brenda teaches classes to share the skills and techniques she has collected with other interested artists.
